Do you still believe in this core?

at some point in time we can no longer use that excuse

LAK average for this season is 26.90
Oilers average age is 25.69

are we still calling the kings kids?

I'm talking about our core, man. Hall, Nuge, Eberle, Yakupov, Nurse, Schultz, Draisaitl (if you want include our top picks plus Schultz) average age is barely 21. Yeah they're kids and surrounded by expensive nobodies.

Guess what? The contracts the oilers gave out in the off season has now added Pouliot, Fayne and a few others who have been added to what the core is actually

The core isn't the players. It's management and coaching. A lot of teams around the league don't have impressive cores (see Arizona) but they have good solid management and coaching.

I believe in most of the core. We just need to move out a few of the players for different type of players. My untouchables would be Hall, Yakupov, RNH, Draisaitl and Nurse. Each one of those players offers something different/a much needed element. Schultz is fine as a 3rd pairing/PP specialist but he is getting paid more then he's worth. Eberle, Perron and one of Marincin or Klefbom need to be traded for a top pairing defenceman and some 2 way players.

Hall, Eberle, Yakupov, RNH, Draisaitl, Schultz aren't the problem, the problem is their coach is complete garbage and they have no support

Schultz should NOT be playing 27 minute games. Draisaitl should not be in the NHL.

Your entire 1st line should not be 22 and under.

I believe in the core with the exception of Eberle. He does get a lot of points obviously, but he is a player with value that I would trade. He is 'shy' out there and it's shocking that he got a letter. (although we don't know what goes on in the dressing room). It doesn't look like management plans on trading him, but if they do, it should be before his value drops.
