Do you feel the same when your team wins in a shootout as when in wins in regulation or OT?

Technically it's worth a little less than a regulation win but it's still infinitely better in the standings to get that extra point than not. I personally feel happy but like my team got away with one. I definitely don't treat them as other type of wins.

Logically I should because a win is a win. However, for some reason I don’t. It’s just not as exciting for some reason. I don’t fully understand why. It also has nothing to do with tiebreakers or anything like that.

Follow up edit: this is, however, not true at all when watching team USA in knockout games at international tournaments. The shootout against Russia in the 2014 Olympics nearly gave me a heart attack.

For me is remembering Freddy Sjostrom or some other scrub being one of the best shootout shooters in the league and Jagr being absolutely awful at them. Being good at the shootout is not consistent with being good in any way.
