Do you consider Sebastian Aho Top10 C now?

Is Aho a Top10C in the league?

How is Eichel on a tier above Point and Aho? Less points, less goals, worse best seasons, worse playoff-performance, a lot worse defensively. And Crosby 2 tiers above - this isnt 2011...
What is the case for Aho above Crosby? Because Crosby was hurt this year? Not much of a case. Crosby has been better every single year and was hurt or played hurt most of this year.

Since the start of the 2018-19 season (earlier poster used that starting point:

Incidentally, I'm wondering how Aho ends up below Schiefele here. Common sense tiebreakers would be greater number of games (Aho 232>230), greater number of goals (Aho 107>95), or greater number of points (Aho 238>237). To be totally neutral, you can always go with alphabetical (A>S).

I know this doesn't matter at all, but I'm curious what else could have been used as a tiebreaker here.

Absolutely

Also, how much time has Stamkos actually seen at center the last couple of seasons? I see him in a lot of posts here, but I was under the impression he's basically a winger at this point.

It's rounding....

Schiefele: 237/230 = 1.0304347
Aho: 238/232 = 1.025862

Probably not too much of an argument at all right now (this year's quarter season not withstanding). At 34 and 24 respectively though, Crosby and Aho are likely going in different directions. Can't write Sid off yet though.

Aho is a better goalscorer, that at least. Production is pretty much tied (current season + last season combined). I have them at tie, although we are closing the day Aho surpasses Crosby if haven't happened already.

Obviously I like Aho a lot, but let's not get ahead of ourselves saying he's about to surpass Crosby. Sid has never been below PPG in any season of his career, and is also a great all-round player. It's very easy to imagine him doing something like Ovechkin in his late 30s.

Not top 10 but definitely top 30.
Name ten centers who are ahead? And especially after McDavid, Draisaitl, MacKinnon, Barkov and Matthews would be good to hear your reasoning. I have Aho 7th or 8th among centers and above you can find why I see it that way.

This thread is incredible given that before the 2018-19 season people were seriously doubting whether or not the Canes were making a big mistake in thinking Aho could play center at all, let alone be the 1C on the team. Lot of speculating on these boards that a deal to acquire someone using Pesce or Slavin needed to be done because the answer for our woes at C wasn't in house.

In random order.

McDavid
Drais
MacKinnon
Barkov
Point
Matthews
Eichel
Couterier
Crosby
Malkin
Kopitar
Stamkos
Tavares
I'd even take ROR over him.

Aho is really tearing it atm. In his 5 last games, he has 5g + 7a 12p. On the season he is:

26gp 15g 17a 32p +12 FO% 54.14

Plays all situations PK, PP and has a good 200ft game.

I have him in the Top10 and knocking Top5 as of now:

McDavid
Draisaitl
MacKinnon
Matthews
Barkov
Aho
Stamkos
Bergeron
Crosby
Point
agree with OP list but drop Stamkos for Kopitar, and crosby top 5

Bolded deserved LOL. Aho is also better than Crosby right now. Hes pretty much on par with Point. I'd prefer Aho though. Better all round player.
