Galchenyuk.

Great young offensive talent we didn’t use. We could’ve simply leveraged him for an older player.

Please stop telling me there was nothing we could do.

We could’ve put Chuck on the first where he played much better than DD

We could’ve traded Chuck for an older number one

We could’ve signed Jagr

We could’ve not signed scrubs like Bouillion and Murray

We could’ve not hired Therrien

These are not ‘in hindsight’ type things. They were STUPID no matter what.

Jagr would’ve made all the difference for sure.

I’ll give you Galchenyuk but then you lose the « budding young talent » from the team (30 goal scorer?). That would’ve gone well with you at the time I’m sure.

Nope, it definitely wouldn’t have. I’d prefer that we had played him properly.

But I’d rather have traded him than squandered him as we did.

The point is that there were choices to make back then. The first choice he made was to hire Therrien. The second was to not sign Jagr and go get Bouillion.

The young core was there. Yes, it needed a bit of work but he was blessed with two young up and coming superstars and a great surrounding cast.
