Saw a few comments alluding to this from the Facebook page. Was wondering if they do as no one had an answer when asked there.

Yeah they get the warm fuzzy feeling of having done something nice for someone without expecting something in return. :)

I donated my tickets last year. I got a nice thank you letter and a tax receipt for the value of the tickets.

I believe you get a donation receipt for tax purposes if you donate them to a charity. For military personnel night, I would think not? That would be more of a personal choice ie "I want to thank the troops for their service"

Yes, you get to rise and sleep under the very blanket of freedom the Canadian Armed Forces provide! ;)

Donated when I had my tickets, get a tax receipt. No different than donating the tickets to any other game iirc.

I feel like though the fans giving it up should get more recognition compared to the recognition the Jets get from it though?

I mean, I honestly thought the Jets donated the tickets until I read the comment. Now I wanna recognize the Jets and the 500 names of people who did it.

Save the cash and help out the homeless instead, lot of veterans end up with mental disease and on the street anyways, save the administration costs

Tax receipt and you’re entered in a draw for some signed memorabilia too.

I got $4 from the tax receipt last year, but people, who otherwise wouldn't or couldn't have, got to take in a game. Perhaps my human half was coming out that night.

Michael Schur is brilliant. I love his new show The Good Place. There's also this classic from Monty Python.
