Nico has proven he can drive a line by himself now. I would also like to see Zacha with Hall. I’d like to think playing with Hall would make Zacha more consistent and result in an elevation of his game. He’s shown the tools and potential are there. Hall could be the guy to bring it out of him on a regular basis at this point.

Zacha can (oddly enough for a big kid) put on maybe 5 to 7 pounds of muscle in the core of his body during offseason. He’s a big lanky kid and I believe may even have grown an inch to an inch and a half between the ages of 18 and 21. He’s strong - we saw that game in Pittsburgh where he held off Malkin with one arm to feed Boyle for a goal - but if he could improve his core strength and balance on his skates he’d be a beast. So Pilates, gyrotonics and weights, some good training combination this offseason could really help him I think.

I'd like to see it too, not just with Hall, but I'd love to see Zacha with a shooter like Palms on his wing too.

Zacha and Wood seem to have decent chemistry, especially when playing together with another heavy-ish player (Maroon/Stafford). While I don't believe Stafford should be back next season, I do think a guy like Bastian could slot in that role. Big guy with some pretty good hands.

Palmieri.

This slower replay of Coleman's shootout goal shows just how close he came to slicing Kuemper's face straight up the middle

Nobody is dumping on Palms. He's obviously an asset for the Devils. I'm trying to point out a flaw in his game and nothing more.

BTW, I believe the horizon the second poster was referring to was 2015 to present, where KP is indeed #10 and it should be noted, with significantly less PP time. I stand corrected.

It was scary.

I didn't notice it until the replay. I thought he just came in so hard that it took Kuemper's mask off. That could have been really nasty.

I'm super excited about the way Zacha has been this second half of the season, but that's also made my concern for his concussion prone-ness quadruple. How many has he had so far at only 21?

OMG, I missed this game, because Costco, Chick-Fil-A, Walmart, and Home Goods shopping were all 100% more important than watching a Devils game at this point, but holy crap that was incredibly dangerous. That goalie was < 3 inches from being disfigured for life.

It was opposite day for me, saw the Devils beat a team that they shouldn't have and the Red Bulls lose to a team they shouldn't have.

I don't know whether to laugh at or burn with fire the NHL Network ad with Gritty getting a hair in Scott Stevens' soup.

Finally got the chance to watch the highlights, we did seem to get the better of the chances for most of the game and Kuemper kept the Coyotes in it. Looked like our PP had a pretty strong game aside from converting, unfortunately.

Can't believe the number of posts hit by both teams, especially Arizona late in OT.

By all rights, the game should've been over when Clayton Keller had a WIDE-OPEN NET but instead he hit the post.
