Rangers, Flyers, Isles go out of their way to full on televise games but NJ can't stream the jumbotron. Nice.

Why? He's terribad

The only thing I can think of is we'll dress 17 skaters and 3 goalies. Clemmensen being the "shootout specialist"

According to the "masses" that populate this forum, the teams have NO say at all on what games get televised or not.

It's all up to the networks that own the rights to the games.
Ex: MSG network, Comcast, NESN

They could stream it on their website

I might regret going to this game tonight since our 5th string goalie is playing. I hope our 1st line finds chemistry tonight since they looked way off on thursday

Are the Devils the only NHL team that doesn't broadcast all of their preseason games using their own announcers? I don't really know but I have a feeling that they are. And it's all up to MSG, who completely stink. They need a new network (or their own network).

I doubt they ever get there own network, however I can see either them or the islanders going to SNY when the contract with msg is up.
Islanders I think only had that 1 preseason game from barclays on tv. Some teams esp down south have 1 or none so it could be worse.

Going to a preseason game is never about the outcome.

It's more to sit back, relax, catch up with some friends, check out some prospects or guys trying out, just being back in the arena after a long offseason.

Win or lose is not really of importance at all.

Didn't they take away the open buffets for the Fire and Ice sections this year? Only asking because I have tickets for one of those sections tonight.

Yeah I've thought about SNY too. I think the Isles would be a better fit for them (but maybe because I always group the Mets and Isles together in my head).

Seriously, is there another NHL team that's treated like this? (Even the Sabres game is being broadcast on MSG in WNY tonight.)

No, no they are not.
We're also not even the only team to not have a broadcast for all of their games.

Hell, the Ducks and Sharks just had a game last night that wasn't televised anywhere.
Stanley Cup champion Kings had a couple of games go untelevised
The Bruins have had at least 1 game untelevised.

And it's pretty standard, from nearly every team in the league that only the home team's broadcast crew calls the game. It's not worth it for most networks to put forth the resources to go all out in the preseason.

So let's all give ourselves one less thing to worry about.

They might come through in the last minute with a stream like they did last season.

But I just checked out the Ducks/Sharks/Bruins websites since I knew their games went unbroadcasted and I couldn't find any clips. So probably doubtful.

The Islanders will be on MSG for quite a while. I think their TV deal doesn't expire until 2031.

Radio isn't a bad option. I like Matt and Sherry. Sherry is honest and not afraid to call the team out when things are bad. She does good interviews too. Matt calls a good game, personally think he is better then Steve.

No problem with Clemmer tonight. He deserves a chance shot to match kinkaid. Kinky needs to get used to sitting anyway since he is barely going to play as our back up.
