Sorry but you just sound ridiculous. Stats don't tell the whole story. The 1st goal is not why we lost, that is what you keep ignoring. Stats are indeed facts, but the theory you are positing does not apply to this individual game. Yes, over a long period of time, be scored against first would show some indication, BUT not in this particular case.

They lost because of two bad judgements by McDonagh late in periods 2 and 3, and a terrible read by Lundqvist.

two bad judgements? Was the game played in a court room? The goal at the end of the second was Hank's fault; period. The goal in the 3rd was shared by McD and Girardi. It wasn't perfect, but we had the better of the chances and lost. Let's go into Montreal and steal one...for a friggin' change.

Can confirm hat judgements can occur outside of the courtroom.

There's no way they outchanced us. Maybe their higher end chances were better than ours, however we consistently had more chances then them.

Cally's chance on the doorstep, CK's breakaway and Richards' chance when he tried to pass instead of roofing the backhand were better than any chances the Debbies had. They had a few good chances from 15 - 20 feet out but we were on the doorstep with the puck more than a few times. their goals were cluster****s; pure and simple.

Guess you forgot Ryder's 2 golden chances, and Jagr's breakaway.

Did you move your seats between periods and only sit on the end the Rangers shot on?

ryder's chances weren't as good as the chances we had. He can really shoot the puck so Hank had to make strong saves. As for Jagr's break, it slipped my mind. However, it was a broken play since he was coming out of the penalty box and that just happens sometimes.

I'd wait for Nash to come back and put Brassard with Nash and Richards.
No way would I advocate breaking up the Zucc-Stepan-Kreider line. They're on fire.

Then who centers Cally and Hags?

I would leave the Zucc Step Kreider Line alone. I would leave Richards centering Hags and Cally, I would let Brassard Center Nash and Pouliot. If Pouliot doesnt start to raise his game, JT gets a shot on the line.

Miller 70879.09146
Pouliot 71341.46341
Callahan 74477.35192
Moore (J) 92195.12195
McDonagh 93791.57428
Nash 95121.95122
Richards 97560.98049
Brassard 100348.4321
Dorsett 119512.1707
Del Zotto 124390.2439
Moore (D) 134146.3415
Stralman 186585.3659
Staal 290853.6585

Girardi 364939.0244
Mashinter #DIV/0!
Falk #DIV/0!
Fast #DIV/0!
Asham #DIV/0!
Powe #DIV/0!
Team 2042532.22

The numbers are adjusted by cap hit/game * games played (so that Nash factors in as 3 games played, rather than being penalized for points/dollar for games not played). For obvious reasons, goalies are not included in the points/cap dollar.

I'm currently working on the numbers for the other currently-seeded playoff teams to see how the Rangers $2,042,532.22/point stacks up. Will post soon.

Miller :D
Damn, I think I typo'ed haha, reached too far and didn't think it through. Basically, I'd be ok with this: (the Kreider/Step/Zucc line stays the same as the 2nd line.)

Hags - Richards - Nash
Miller - Brassard - Cally

or

Hagelin - Richards - Callahan
Miller - Brassard - Nash

or

Hagelin - Brassard - Nash
Miller - Richards - Callahan

“That’s the world I live in, as a goalie,†he said. “You can do twenty good things and one bad thing and you only talk about the bad thing. But, at the same time, I can have games where I make a mistake and we still win the game and people think I played really well. That’s my world. That’s a goalie’s world. You just have to accept it.†- Henrik Lundqvist

An important quote for all the Hank bashers on this forum.

Actually that's not true if he makes a mistake we still win the game I still blame him.

For current non-Ranger playoff-seeded teams in the Eastern Conference, the points per cap dollar average is $1,684,631.39, or $357,900.83 less than the Rangers. Individual teams:

1) Tampa Bay - $1,557,504.42
2) Boston - $1,572,171.21
3) Washington - $1,604,087.44
4) Pittsburgh - $1,655,718.34
5) Montreal - $1,700,806.14
6) Toronto - $1,748,351.11
7) Detroit - $1,953,781.09
8) New York Rangers - $2,042,532.22

Potentially worth noting that the top 6 teams have all drafted in the top 5 picks at least twice since the lockout, although Boston used Toronto's pick to do so the second time.

Next time we play this team I'd send someone after Carter with one command: "go get yourself a 5 minute major."

Would be worth it in the long run.

Let's be fair because he also left out the part about a 41 year old goalie being the best player on the ice while the da Queen stunk it up when it mattered most.

Maybe he meant this kind of Queen--I can see Henrik leading a chorus or two of this before he's done here.

That would be nice; hope the Queen isn't in his rocking chair when that happens.

That ones been around for a long time so I can't take credit for it.

Yeah, Devils fans made it up. You're quoting childish phrases from Devils fans, now. Hope you're proud. Although, I can't say I'm surprised. For someone who acts high and mighty because you're older than everyone else you sure post a lot of childish crap.
