tempted the pick Bell for the big boom or bust factor, but went with Kujo. I can see him as a 2/3C with strong faceoffs. like a Zajac-lite

It kinda sucks that we are 12 deep and I'm thinking nobody left is that great a prospect right now.

If you think about it - if we just replace 2 players on the main club with 2 prospects every year, we would be doing great. You figure each guy has about a 10 year career.

It's really about quality, not quantity - and looking at the top 12, I feel pretty confident that at least 6 will have decent NHL careers for us and be up in the next few years.

That's pretty good if you factor we lose two guys each year to retirement/free agency, that will work for us.

I agree. Plus, some of these guys may become good prospects in the future to replace those that either graduate or don't make it.

I don't know what the best cutoff number is, but 12 is probably OK as long as your scouting wasn't a total disaster. (Of course, more that 12 would be better!)

I just like seeing actual talented prospects available on these polls after the 7th or 8th spot. Most of the guys left, if they develop to their full potential, could actually be valuable NHL players, which we have not been able to say about our system in recent years.
