both teams are heavy offense and light on defense and goaltending. both teams are very soft, especially in the top 6. its like a younger carbon copy. i will agree that jersey did much better with their contracts.

what year was hamilton a norris candidate?

I think he’s overrated as he can make mistakes when pressured but Hamilton likely finished somewhere in the 6-8 or so range for Norris voting.

Toronto had higher expectations and a superior team on paper.

Devils surpassed expectations, Leafs once again failed to meet them.

At the end of the day both suffered the same fate, but New Jersey had the better year as a whole all things considered.

Weird poll

Feel it's an easy answer for the Devils.

They took a huge step in both regular season and playoffs where Toronto continue to be a top 3 Atlantic team, won a series and got eliminated in 5.

NJ's core is way younger and did something TOR couldn't for 6 straight years.

Feels like a dunk on TOR type thread but all for it.
