Thought Hughes looked good out there for the most part.

He does however have an issue where if the Devils are losing he starts to try to do too much and thats where he gets himself into trouble.

I'm ok with him learning now what he can and can't do.

I'm not sure how this team manages to look good and bad at the same time.

I wonder if we think they look good only because of how bad they played under Hynes. We're still recovering from the disaster.

Also, special teams still need a ton of work.

I think they manage to look good and bad at the same time because they have a lot of high character, hard working players, but an extreme lack of high end talent. In this league, talent pretty much always wins the day over effort.

Hughes is a stud. He creates more offense than the rest of the team combined.

Bratt looked good for his first game in 10 months, and literally no time in Ruff’s system.

Severson has a great shot. Wish he would use it more.

Everyone else sucked.

Yea forwards for lost on the first goal but that shouldn’t have been a rebound to begin with, second goal was a trip and I think dumbass Subban getting caught below the net with no one in front

I like your list better than mine, although I had also listed Zajac (1000th game, yay) and Ty Smith for the hell of it.

lol Wedgewood hasn't been bad especially tonight... its easy to pin it on the goalie when you have no idea what youre watching ( not saying you in particular ) but yes he should probably get the night off vs Buffalo

Forgot to say this :

When you say "you have no idea what you're watching", you are saying "ME"(you) in particular.

You may make all the excuses for Wedge you want.

But the fact of the matter is that not having our #1 in net (F.U. Covid) hurts us and continues to hurt us.

Wedge is not worth defending like he's Mac. He's just another guy that is interchangeable with Cormier, whom I want to see next against Buffalo.

Maybe I'm taking crazy pills but I thought Palmieri had a great game. At least his best game of the season and I think it's cause he was off Hughes's line.

Wedgewood's gonna have games like that, the only thing I'm really concerned about is the PP.

They get way too scrambly when plays breakdown.

You can get away with that with Blackwood because he doesn't give up rebounds like ever, but they are gonna get burned with pretty much anyone else in net.

If they don't get criss crossed two of those goals don't happen.
