I didn’t know disagreeing with “Timo sucks, bad trade”, pointing out how his point production doesn’t tell you everything, is tone policing and “group think”.
I know some people thrill at the idea of taking on the whole mean board but it really is just a bunch of individual posters. It’s less nuanced when you don’t particularly pay attention to what people are saying (as opposed to claiming a united faction says the team played great in lop-sided losses so you can feel superior).
But the phenomenon people are complaining about is people get testy after losses and sometimes they don’t have patience for cartoonishly negative venting. Should those people let other people vent? Probably? If it would stop people from complaining about the meanie pants complaining about their original complaining…
Its the fine line between thinking Meier hasnt produced and that meaning he sucks. Now I specifically didnt say this nor think it and I havent gone and checked each individual post regarding this; but from ... I forget the game but we got tossed, think it was the second Tampa game, and some people (who some were posters I know to be both ways throughout the year, usually fair) were questioning how we'd look in the playoffs because of the tighter game and how we lost those two games
Theres plenty of reasons why two games isnt nearly enough but theres also plenty of reasons why those games are seen as 'playoff tests' as well.
And that specific instance is when I originally chimed in on the idea that some posters feel the need to remind everyone how to feel. Its fine to think we shouldnt worry and to even go as far as to debate it; but a lot of those debates are heated and involve softball insults tat just arent necessary if they arent a doomsdayer
And yes, March 1st signup I know - but we all know who the doomsday-posters are so idk why some feel the need to go at those who arent that but are feeling negatively about that particular game or stretch of games
Its just how people word their arguments - not that the arguments are being had
