Quotes via Andrew Gross http://www.northjersey.com/blog/fireandice/:
Kyle Palmieri:
“We go in there, it’s a tough place to play,†right wing Kyle Palmieri said. “We’ve got to hear that cannon every time (they score). I was lucky enough in September to be on the right side of the cannon (for Team USA). This time I’ve going to try to do my best to not hear it too often.â€
Palmieri added, on the ice, it sounds like your head is in the cannon when it goes off.
Andy Greene on his return:
“I felt great,†Greene said. “That’s why I play. It’s no fun sitting out. I really do hate it. It felt good to be back out there. It took a little time to get back to it.â€
Palmieri on trucking Brouwer leading to the Calgary PP goal:
“I spoke to the ref about it, asking him what he thought and he saw,†Palmieri said. “I thought it was kind of an all-over play. I don’t know whether our feet got tangled up or if he turned and he knocked into me. I saw Hallsie (Taylor Hall) going for a shot. I braced myself to hopefully bang into a rebound and he knocked into me. I don’t know if our skates hit. It’s tough that he only called one of us. I’m not going to look into it anymore. He gave them their power play goal there but I think we responded well after that. It is what it is.â€
Please, for the love of god, WIN!!!!!!!!!!!
PLAY. ****ING. HARDER.
