One thing about Larkin this game is that hes starting to show the talent to blow a game wide open. Against CBJ he absolutely took over the ice and was doing whatever he wanted. Thats a quality that star players have. He might go a game or two without a point but he has the ability to put up 2 or 3 in a game to make up for it and he might potentially end up close to a point per game guy. His speed was his only elite aspect when he first came up but I'm really starting to think his passing ability is getting there as well. He made a really nice feed on manthas goal, had a few more really nice passes that didnt end up in the back of the net though as well. Last year he had like 45 assists which is a lot on a bad team.
The superstars are the guys who dont go pointless for 2 games here and there but theres very few of those guys and even fewer who arent drafted first overall. Larkin seems like he might be falling into that next grouping of guys, maybe not franchise center material but a legit first line center who with other good pieces around him is good enough to contend
