Most likely has to do with trimming a vet from GR after guys like Chiasson and Vrana were added to the roster.
Griffins got a forward from the Barracuda for future considerations as well.

I think this is 100% wrong but Sharks beat writer said that Criscuolo is on an AHL only deal but then Weatherby wouldn’t have been traded for Criscuolo because that’s different leagues. Can any Wings fans confirm if Criscuolo is on an NHL or AHL deal?
