Any interest in the following????

To Phil: Howard @ 50% retained($2.65 mil.) + highest 3rd. round pick (between Chicago/Toronto/NYR).

To Det: lowest of the three 7th rd picks Philly has.

Flame away.

Had a slight setback in GR on his re-hap stint. Proposal is for off season, so I'm sure he will be fine.

If he's fully healthy it's worth considering. He only has two years left.

It's nothing to flame you over, but I guess I just don't see the point of doing it.
I don't really want to be committed to Howard, even if it's only for two years.
I think you are going to have trouble moving him, to be honest.

id probably totally do this deal. Buys more time for prospects and he can be a decent backup if prospects surge ahead.

Would be all over it if we didn't just re-sign Neuvirth.

If Neuvirth is claimed by Vegas, I do this deal in a second.

Agreed, even if he is healthy I wouldn't want to be rolling Howard and Neuvirth behind all the youth on D that we will have in the next couple years.
I really hope we manage to get a good starter this off-season.
I know a lot of people are against it, but I wouldn't mind Bishop.

I'd do it. With how often Howard and Neuvy are injured, Stolarz could spend next season as the full time backup getting some meaningful NHL reps as we juggle H and N on IR.

Why are people ignoring 3 straight years of Howard being bad because he has had 17 games this year of being good?

The previous 141 games, SV% under .910.

No thanks.

I know he isn't good. I'd just be willing to take him as a backup/off-chance that he'd be good for a pick.

Then again, he would be an expensive one. Meh.

I'm pretty indifferent all-around.

I mean, if we tried to platoon Howard and Neuvirth - two goalies who cant seem to stay healthy - we'd be paying, what? 5 Mil in goaltending. That's pretty good. Unfortunately, you dont know which Neuvirth or Howard is ever going to show up.

It would allow Stolarz to get another chance at a full time work load in the A though.

I expect us to acquire another low cost goalie between now and September, im just not sure if Howard is who it'll be. I guess i wouldnt hate it, but i wouldnt love it either.
