Trust me, from a Pistons fan who has watched a ton of Drummond, he's not as good as the stats suggest. Trust me on this.

With that said, the return was garbage because he has a $28.7M opt in option and his contract demands are too rich. He's not a bad player but he's not worth near what he thinks he's worth.

Detroit needs to blow it up and Drummond was likely going to opt in for another year close to 30 million. Which he is not worth.

The return is garbage but they weren't going to get much for Drummond as it was. Hence why he was salary dumped.

Drummond's a very good player. Had heard he was on the trade block. Didn't expect it to be the Cavs that picked him up or the return would be so awful.
