Nice decision. Offered a nice, comfortable contract and then shipped away to a black hole? Gotta feel good to have that NTC right now.

It is a lot of money in taxes to give up. You'd be going to a team that is struggling. You're not young anymore and you don't have a ring.

There will be other offers that I'm sure will be more palatable.

Nope not at all. Love the city... but that team is a mess.

Without fear of being attacked...

Early indication is Vancouver is making the same mistakes the oilers made.

At the deadline it somewhat looked like the team was embracing the rebuild...with what is reportedly happening today...they are trying to rebuild on the fly

Took awhile for the oilers to embrace it and admit it.

Nuck fans may not like this view..but I see the similierties
