After implementation in UK and Germany, Starship Technologies is deploying robots in Redwood City (San Mateo county, just north of Silicon Valley) to delivery groceries and meals.

Sure, you lose low-paying delivery jobs, but you replace them with moderately paying Blade Runner jobs (for when the robots inevitably go rogue).

I believe that's the same guy who said the same thing in the self-driving cars thread. Just an absurd viewpoint all around.

It's like those coal miners who voted Trump because they think he is going to magically bring all their jobs back...
