Defensive pair on the first PP unit?

I have to think it will be Subban-Markov still. This is why I don't see this move helping the PP much with Gonchar getting 30 seconds or so at the end.

I think the bigger issue is the seemingly one dimensional plan of "find a way to get Subban the one timer" In fact I think NHL power plays in general are way too dependant on looking for one timers from the point.

As stated in the powerplay thread, Markov-Gonchar will be the 1st pairing by the looks of things in practice. PK-Gilbert on the 2nd

I'd honestly try this;

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Gallagher/Eller
Markov - Gonchar

Galchenyuk - Desharnais - Parenteau
Beaulieu/Gilbert - Subban
