I remember the praise for Bjornfoot post draft. Clague was a WHL draft beast, I remember that for sure.

Pretty much between Sandin and Bjornfot. i take Sandin

Funny how LA management had no problem getting Bjornfot a loan where they could take him back partway through the SHL season, but the Leafs were unable to do that for either Sandin or Liljegren and both missed so much time (especially Sandin who is now injured).

Agreed, Dubas seems to have dropped the ball by not engaging these two Leafs D prospects in Europe during the shutdown, neither played in the play-ins last year.

It has nothing to do with management, it’s because Björnfot had an existing SHL contract. SHL only allowed short-term loans for these players, hence why for example Detroit could recall Bromé but not Seider.
