Sweden out of this group, but thats not who id send for Canada. Id still have Weber there just needs a really good puck mover to play with. Doughty, Parayko and Hamilton are all options as well.

Not that it really matters but you have Hamilton, Parayko, and Rielly all playing their off side so the pairings would need to be switched up quite a bit

See, I'd take Jones over Karlsson of the last 2 seasons for sure, likewise Slavin over OEL and even Carlson over Klingberg.

Even though OEL's status has fallen in North America it hasn't fallen in Sweden. He's done some great performances in international tournaments and would make Sweden's top 4 any day.

You guys are underestimating the Carey Price factor. We've seen how he performs behind an all-star defensive squad at best on best tournaments. Back to back shutouts in 2014 for gold medal, etc. If this was just defense, I'd maybe look at other rosters.

I know Helle just won the vezina, and Markstrom had a good season - but I'd trust Price a lot more behind such an all-star defensive squad to go far.

Why? There hasn't been a best on best tournament since 2016. You can say they're overrated if they bomb out at the 2022 Olympics (assuming NHLers are going)
