Head Commissioner Gary Bettman has decided that he has not ****ed with the league enough lately. He feels he hasn’t done enough damage since the last lockout and has decided to create more chaos. He’s decided to spin his wheel of awesome ideas for the NHL! He spins…….and…….and……oooh his favorite one! Eliminate 10 teams, set ten teams up with all the contending pieces, set ten teams up with all the rebuilding pieces, and then make them flip-flop and watch the chaos!
Basic Rules
• Two drafts: regular and prospect (see draft rules and draft order for details)
• Teams in prospect draft compete for Cup, Teams in regular draft compete for KLLR (both groups of teams goal is opposite of what they started)
• Eliminate 10 teams (20 GMs)
• 10 Eliminated Teams: St. Louis, Boston, San Jose, Anaheim, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Colorado, Los Angeles, Montreal, Tampa Bay
• 10 Rebuilding Teams: NY Rangers, Minnesota, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Columbus, Detroit, Washington, Toronto, Dallas, Vancouver
• 10 Contending Teams: New Jersey, Nashville, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Carolina, Calgary, NY Islanders, Florida, and Edmonton, Buffalo
Draft Rules
• Two Drafts: Prospect and Regular Draft
• Regular Draft:
o Ten rebuilding teams get picks every round, ten competing teams get picks every other round starting after round 2
o Snake Draft for both rebuilding and contending teams (see draft order for details)
o No trading
o The draft will start as the reverse order of the current standings (lock date TBD) for both rebuilding teams and contending teams (see draft order for details)
• Prospect Draft:
o Only contending teams get picks
o Snake draft
o Draft will start as reverse order of current standings (lock date TBD)
o Skaters with less than 100 total games nhl played are eligible, this includes players that haven’t even been drafted yet (McDavid and Ekblad for example are fair game)
o Goalies with less than 40 games played are eligible, including those not even drafted yet
Contender Rules
• Start off with 15M to protect players
• No players eligible for the prospect draft may be protected
• Goal is to win the Cup by trading all of your youth for contending pieces
Rebuilder Rules
• Start off with 25M to protect players
• No players eligible for the prospect draft may be protected
• Goal is to win the KLLR Cup by trading all of your contending pieces for future pieces
Trading Rules
• To announce a trade, simply post it in the trade thread
• A trade must be confirmed by both teams for it to count
• All NTCs and NMCs will be voided for this game
• If a trade is deemed to be too lopsided, it will have to be reworked
• This will be determined by Dong, HYD, and I
• Up to 50% may be retained on a player

• With us drafting every single prospect in the league and most of the players in the league, high activity level is an absolute must
• Roster thread must be posted with a full roster before you are allowed to start trading
• I’m going to allow Produce to monitor this and do as he sees fit
• I have no problem allowing Produce to can GMs who he doesn’t see as making enough of an effort to be active
