Closers aren't usually long term. Relievers in general have very volatile careers.

They just wanted someone cheap (and "proven"). Besides, almost anyone would be better than ****ing Brad Boxberger.

He's a very good player but after trading Goldy and losing Pollock to free agency this off season I don't think this move helps them much.
