This is 2 games in a row where we've had about 30-45 seconds of a powerplay wasted by our top of the circle forward and d-men getting hemmed in in the offensive zone and sending terrible bobbled passes back and forth.

Need to both get the puck moving around the whole ice and get the players moving around.

I think it’s because Stü is a lefty playing on the left side but what a notice the most is The right circle. Everytime the pucks get there to Norris he loose it and they clear. I think he is the weak link of the powerplay . This is why I want DJ to try Stü on the right side as a shooting options and Batherson on the left side on his opposite side to feed the puck to Dadonov or Stü...

I think the personnel we chose is dictated by or will dictate the system we use to some degree.

If we want to run an overload, vs 1-3-1 vs umbrella, it will change the type of player and handedness we need in a given role.

1-3-1

-----Tkachuk-----
Bath--Stü--Norris
-----Chabot-----

Dadonov could step in for Norris or Stü

Overload

---Bath
----------------Tkachuk
Stü (not ideal, preferably a RH shot)
Chabot ---Norris/Dad

Umbrella

----White-Tkachuk---
Bath------------Norris/Stü
-------Chabot------

These are all the same system just in different scenerios

PP Option #1 - 1-3-1
Tkachuk in front of the net
Stutzle on the left side
Norris in the slot/middle
Batherson on the right side
Chabot rover on the point
- object is to make plays from the wall towards the slot & front of the net, it's a good offence that spreads out the defence a little more giving more opportunities to good accurate shooters.

PP Option #2 - 2-1-2
Tkachuk on the left side down low
Batherson down low on the right side
Stutzle in the high slot
Chabot on the left side D
Zub on the right side D
- object is to get a lot of pucks to the net & the three forwards drive the net from three sides looking for rebounds. Good offence for big strong teams.

PP Option #3 - Overload
Tkachuk & Norris on one side or the other down low
Stutzle & Batherson cover the centre & side as outlet options, moving from side to side
Chabot rovers along the blueline
- object is to overpower one defencemen on one side or the other with the two forwards getting inside position down low plus the forward in the slot coming in behind them, similar to the 2-1-2 but coming in from the side of the crease. Also good for bigger teams.

I support option #2. Let's use two solid D to bring the puck in the zone (just normal passes, no need for fancy drop passes) and to keep the puck from leaving the zone. Zub seems to have a heavy shot, so he adds a shooting threat from the right side.

Don't mind that group with the box+1 but you got to flip everyone (left hand onvthe right and righties on the left to improce their passing and shooting lanes.
