What's your best 1 for 1 offer?

..Why are the Oilers trading him? He is coming off a 40 point season and is only getting better..

They have 4-5 second pairing defensemen and need to upgrade some of them. Most of them are under contract whereas Nurse is a year away from being overpaid. Hasn't shown meaningful progression defensively so he's a prime "sell high" candidate, imo.

The Oilers would be better off moving Larsson but there's no value there.

Only reason to move nurse would be for a stellar winger. Anything less would be trash.

We're not gonna get offered what we'd want for a 24 year old 6'4 top 4 dman coming off a 41 point season. Guys that big who skate that well carry are a rare commodity, we should keep him. Also, he's Connor and Leon's best friend, best to not piss them off further and keep one of their good buddies around.

Trade Klefbom + for an upgrade, he's a #2 but what's the point of keeping him if he only plays ~60 games a year? Much smarter to trade him imo.

I'm just curious , if he was on a better team would his numbers and play reflect a better player ?

Or is he simply overrated ?

He'd be better defensively due to being sheltered. He'd put up fewer points due to not being on the ice with McDavid. Also probably wouldn't get PP time.

If he can be a solid top 4 defenseman, and just plays solid defense. I could see a lot of teams interested in a young top defenseman

The Oilers need to be trading a lot of players way before Nurse is even considered. They couldn't package him for an upgrade on defense because the Oilers can't afford the salary the upgrade comes with

Well I think I speak for many when I say its obvious that you don't represent the Oilers best interest

Circle back around to that thought when he's asking for first pairing money a year from now despite still being a second pairing player.

Discount the entire Oiler’s team 25% because “McDavid”... GTFO!

If the Oilers trade Nurse for anything other than an upgrade at D or a 1st line winger... I will stop being a fan ... which I have been all my life.... many, MANY years!
