Grubauer is a fantastic goalie with fantastic stats, but he has let our team down when we needed him to step up on more than one occasion. Kuempers turn now to see if he can help the avs get over the humpKuemper has been pretty good after leaving Minnesota, but this is still Grubauer.
Grubauer was voted in well ahead of Kuemper in the rankings from a few weeks ago
1) Andrei Vasilevskiy (89.9%)
2) Connor Hellebuyck (59.7%)
3) Carey Price (47.7%)
4) Marc-Andre Fleury (41.3%)
5) Tuukka Rask (35.1%)
6) John Gibson (38.3%)
7) Semyon Varlamov (29.2%)
8) Philipp Grubauer (34.5%)
9) Robin Lehner (26.7%)
10) Juuse Saros (28.9%)
11) Igor Shesterkin (28.3%)
12) Thatcher Demko (25.0%)
13) Jacob Markstrom (44.4%)
14) Ben Bishop (31.3%)
15) Darcy Kuemper (36.0%)
16) MacKenzie Blackwood (20.0%) (Tiebreaker: 60.6%)
17) Jordan Binnington (19.4%)
18) Ilya Sorokin (17.1%)
19) Linus Ullmark (16.7%)
20) Elvis Merzlikins (18.2%)
I'd go with Kuemper if contracts are a factor, Grubauer if they're not

Defenses really. I think they are really close in ability and I was one of Grubauers biggest supporters as you can see by my avatar but I’ve seen Kuemper take an average coyotes team and carry them on this back into the playoffs and I’ve seen Grubauer struggle in big games with the avs and caps when they needed him most. We will soon see how good they both are on opposite ends of the spectrum and I honestly think Kuemper can get the avs over the hump if he’s fully healthy and on one of the best teams in the leagueWho do you think is better?
EDIT: Sorry, just saw you voted for Kuemper here. And Gru for the 8th spot in the overall ranking, over Kuemper. What changed in the last two weeks?

Only reason I picked Grub.I think Kuemper is a better goalie, but his injury history makes him a question mark. The only reason he fell behind so much in that goalie poll is recency bias and the injury questions.
That goalie list is what is laughable. Price at 3rd is a jokeI was just about to post the same thing. This whole poll is so laughable it's crazy!
