If anybody else can see my posts, please let me know because on my end I think half got deleted from yesterday. I absolutely know I posted here, but I don't see it either both logging and out. For me he's probably the biggest project of this draft besides our 6'6" Tim Thomas crazy goaler. Like a lot of Av picks this year, he has superb field of vision and is a top notch puck-rushing defender in the MHL. I think he has decent enough of intelligence, but tends to go into blinder mode at times since he's a tad selfish with the puck. He isn't particularly fast, but is a very smooth skater especially when he's gliding with the puck. He also loves shooting the puck and has a fairly decent shot considering the negatives I will now discuss.

The biggest problem with him is that he's very under-develop physically. True that he weighs more than someone like Weiss, but he doesn't have any sort of physicality to his game nor has any sort of an edge for a defender. He's a player I would describe as someone who's quite weak with the puck and weaker without it. Even at the U18 he was being out-muscled by guys that weighed like fifteen pounds less than him such as Weiss and 2019 draftees. It's the biggest reason why he fell to the 5th round because he definitely has top 100 talent. He also needs quite a bit of work away from the puck as well. Currently, he is pretty much a powerplay specialist, but once he develops more of the physical game knowing he needs to get stronger picture someone like Kevin Shattenkirk or Erik Gustafsson from the Blackhawks.

He's my favorite pick in the draft from the Avs. He has a ways to go to reach his potential but if he does it I think he can be a massive steal for us.

His main boards thread had a number of people that are extremely high on him.

I was talking about if you see two of my posts in this thread which are similar in nature. I don't want to re-post my thoughts if one of my posts from yesterday is still here and I just can't see it.:D

I could swear I read a bunch if posts from you on each of our draft picks earlier, but either I'm wrong or they're gone.

Fun fact about him, to properly pronounce his name you need at least three marbles in your mouth.
Let's practice this, kids.

Zhoo - ruv -(here comes the hardest part for an English speaker) lyoff

The proper pronounciation is probably out of reach anyway because the L is palatized.

In Russian Wheel of Fortune, they buy consonants. :sarcasm:

Nope. In Russian there are consonants with no counterparts in English so they are transcribed with two or more.

Zh is one letter in Russian. Zhuravlyov's name in Russian has 8 letters.

His name is Danny Zuralov [zoo-rah-lov] (at least that's what I'm calling him)
