He exploded on the scene last year in Nuremberg. He's continued that in Düsseldorf.

He's a smart player who makes great use of the capabilities he has, none of which really stand out. I mean, he's not deking everyone out or skating past everyone. It's not a lot of pizzazz.

He's just a very good decision maker and can execute. But the production is legit.

There's also the issue of him having come up with Berlin, where it's felt he never got a shot at a bigger role. These clubs like Berlin and Mannheim and earlier Cologne were often the ones doing the best overall work in developing the youth, but these kids were going elsewhere to actually break into the pros or even the DEL.

That's changed a bit the past few seasons and heck, especially this year in these Covid-induced times.
