Celebrity Death: Damo Suzuki

Saddened to hear the news of Damo Suzuki's passing today at 74 years old. I know he had been diagnosed with colon cancer years ago. Coincidentally, I've been listening to a ton of CAN the past month, particularly the four albums Damo was on. CAN with Damo was untouchable, RIP to one of the greats.

He used to be, and still sort of is, one of my favorite vocalists during college. Always there as part of the song during Can's peak years. Almost like an anti-frontman who spoke his own language. He will be missed.

This is sad. I believe Irmin Schmidt and Mooney are the only two living members now.

This news comes after the passing of Brian Wilson's wife last week and Beach Boys touring member Jeff Foskett a few weeks earlier. 2024 has not been off to a good start.
