Pretty sure I saw you on TV holding up a Hischier jersey.
Yup, that was me.
How do you find it? I imagine day 2 would be really boring after the 2nd round. A lot of googling on your phone.
Oddly, I almost find day 2 to be more interesting than day 1. The one bummer about being in the arena is that they don't air the commentary. So there is a bit of downtime between each pick especially for round 1. Round 2-7 is much more rapid fire.
Even as a draft nerd, once the 4th round rolls around I won't recognize most of the names. But I wouldn't recommend sitting through all 7 rounds of the draft.
Usually the Stanley Cup will be on display and the line is typically pretty long. So you can take a break from the draft and grab a picture, especially if you know your team doesn't have a pick that round.
The fun dynamic is that a good chunk of the players will be hanging around the arena too. Great time to get in a quick meet and greet, picture, or autograph with a a draftee or one of many Hall of Famers/All Stars who are on team staffs. There are much fewer fans attending the 2nd day, so it might be easier to approach certain guys.
When I went to get a bite to eat, I saw Devils 2nd rounder Jesper Boqvist and got a pic/autograph. In past years, I got to interact with Adam Larsson, Ryan Johansen, Mackenzie Blackwood, amongst others.
Also much easier to get a front row seat on the 2nd day. When I went in 2010, I could hear Brian Burke and George McPhee negotiate a pick for pick trade which resulted in the Capitals drafting Philip Grubauer. Nothing earth shattering, but still fun to see that happen ten feet in front of you.
