Can't find anything better at league minimum imho. Cheap #7 defenseman who doesn't hurt your team in the 10-12 minutes he plays and is absolutely fine with getting scratched 20-30 games in a row too.

My uncle went to high school with Joel Hanley while in Keswick; he said that he was a very nice kid. It's awesome to see that he continues to make an impact in the NHL. He's underrated, and has always been a solid all-around mobile defensemen.

He's the kind of defenseman that would not have had an NHL career 10-15 years earlier. Small-ish defensive minded depth defenseman. That kind of player did not exist until a few years ago . Every defensive depth guys was like 6'3-6'5 at the very least

Glad to have him back. Doesnt play in reg season other than for inkuries, but always plays in the postseSon and puts up very good #’s On the 3rd pairing. Very underrated ad a depth piece
