Victoriaville just took this guy in the first round, 20th overall in the qmjhl draft. Stands tall at 6'5" 250 pounds :)amazed:). Anyone know much about him? Is he 2016 eligible or is he older? Just a massive, massive guy.

Was looking at the draft and couldn't help but notice this guy.

1998 birth year, 16 at the moment. 6"4 and 250lbs

How often do you get that combination and does anyone know anything about him?

Zeno Chara is 255lbs for comparison at an NHL level.

I know he wasn't quite able to stick with the weakest MAAA team in Quebec this season, but apparently did okay in the ME (lower level).

Rarely seen a happier guy getting drafted lol! Kid was bigger than everybody on the podium, big smile on his face, basically ran to the podium once he heard his name called. Compares to Diaby by looks of things. Big shot, plays good defense, will have to adapt to a much higher level of competition.

The guy didn't even make one of the worst Midget AAA team in Québec. Let's calm down, there's chances he never even get drafted.

It's Huot and there are several players drafted ahead of him that deserve a thread before him... even players drafted after him lol

This says more about how poorly the Gatineau midget AAA franchise is being managed than anything else. Not pne scout thought he did not have his place on that team and he progressed really well his year. That being said, it is definitely a stretch to call him an NHL prospect at this point.
