Is 4th in CSSHL d-men scoring, 2 above him are 17&18 year olds,
but the kid leading, Hudson Thornton, is even younger than Marc
and haves a commanding 15 point lead, 2 fewer games played what Marc,
hmm...that Hudson might be even better than this one, oh-well :)
(gonna have to create a thread for him as well)

Anyone know anything abut this crazy sized kid?, is he any good?

He was a 1st round pick by Tri-City last year and his dad is the HC of Kamloops. I've only seen him in the CWG but he looked good in every area for Alberta.

Thanks, good to know. So maybe he signs with Tri-City Amercans? and perhaps goes to the WHL next season?
that is, if they think he is ready and good enough for the major junior stage.

He's already signed with Tri-City and might get a couple games at the end of the season. He'll be on the team next year, likely in a limited role to start though.

I haven't seen him play but I'm always wary of a huge young player at his age group dominating physically immature kids.

The height is one thing, but the weight is just INSANE for a kid of that age. For him to be playing at that high of a level, there’s no way it’s fat...guy will be an absolute monster the second he hits the NHL.

Haha uhhhh what. There is no chance a 15 year old has 220 pounds of muscle. That is most definitely more fat than anything. Im sure hes a fine prospect but to claim he will be a monster in the NHL is pure lunacy

There’s lots of guys that play at that high of a level when they’re 13/14/15 at a heavy weight, most of the time it’s more fat then muscle. The strength is obviously there but they’ve never really trained at that age, to the point where they’re mostly muscle. The real test begins next year when he’s probably going to be asked to lose some weight (assuming it’s accurate) as teams don’t want their players playing that heavy. There’s a lot of CHL teams that have guys in for a lack of a better term “fat camp” where they’re constantly measuring weights and trying to get them to slim down/turn that weight into muscle. The only saving grace is that he probably has trained better than most kids his age given his dads resources and the environment he’s grown up in so he may be a bit more advanced physically at this point then the average heavy 14/15 year old.
