Can't help it

I'm SO glad Antropov only had a limited NTC, meaning he would totally come to Anaheim. You can't prove he wouldn't have

EDIT: Conditions probably were "DON'T TRADE ME TO TORONTO!".

Word out of Carolina is that Jussi Jokinen would like to test free agency and see what is out there.

Carolina confirms that Jussi Jokinen, along with fellow Finn Joni Pitkanen, will go into the July 1st free agent period unsigned. We would love to bring both Joni and Jussi back next year, but at this point it seems unlikely. The Hurricanes are open to dealing the exclusive negotiating rights to both players.

On a more positive note, the Hurricanes have agreed to terms with 3 impending UFAs:

Patrick Dwyer will be coming back on a 2 year deal worth 1.3 million, paying him 650k each year.

Erik Cole has agreed to a 3 year contract, worth 8.5 million. The contract will pay him 3 million each of the first two years, and 2.5 million the final year, for a cap hit of $2,833,333.

Cory Stillman will also be back next season as he agreed to a 1 year deal worth 2.5 million. The deal includes an NTC.
