Weiss waives to play with young talent (hall, eberle) and play on a 1st line in canadian market.

Avs44 and cbk waived.

:panthers

Confirmed. Apparently Boyes and Fleischmann suck so I needed a first line RW. :sarcasm:

Also standing voting starts at 3:30 but trade deadline is 5? Wat?

It's been fun Managing this team. I usually try to grab an underdog and try to fix their team. I went out and got a #1 Center , #1 LW and top 4 Defenceman. I think this team has potential. We can win a lot of 2-1 games. Bob we feel can hold down the net and only will allow 0-3 at max goals per night, Then when we get the opurtunity our big guns can strike. Eriksson , Backes and Gabborik is a dominating top line that has Speed , Defence , Big and Small body's as well as smarts to play the game. And Prospal , Letestu and Umberger are a great 2nd line with Leadership and passion who can score some goals. We also have great defense , although we failed to get a great Defensive type defenceman such as Gorges, Johnson or Alzner. We did maintain to ADD Matt Carle to our defense core that consist's of Johnson , Wisnewskie and Tyutin. Vote :cbj

Final Roster.

Basically got rid of all the soon to be ufas and brought in some young blood at Forward in Lars Eller, Derrick Brassard, Ben Smith and Marcus Kruger while adding a solid winger in Teddy Purcell.

On D i added Dmitry Kulikov and John Moore to help round out the defense.

and in the future a defense of
Suter - Dumba
Kulikov - Brodin
Moore - Scandella

looks pretty good

And in goal i moved soon to be ufa goalie Backstrom out.

Likely a team that could slip in as a 8 seed but is likely a 9-10 seed

Folks, this is the new look Montreal Canadiens. We are very happy with the final look of the roster going into the playoffs. We added in a young, 60 goal scoring franchise player in Steven Stamkos, as well as his partner in crime and this seasons Art Ross Trophy winner, Martin St. Louis. These two alone would add an offensive surge to any forward group, but we didn't stop there. We added in a fantastic, young 2-way stud in Ryan O'Reilly, former Sabres captain and 30 goal scorer Jason Pominville, one of the best net presences in the NHL in Patric Hornqvist, an energetic versatile winger in Jamie McGinn and a big, defensively sound face off ace in Paul Gaustad. Already having guys like Pacioretty, Plekanec, Ryder and Gionta, we feel that our additions make us extremely difficult to play against. We are also a much tougher group which is required against physical teams like Boston and Toronto in our division, though, we have the depth to adapt our play style to our opponents and can come at you with several different looks.

On the back end, we kept the majority of an excellent defensive core the same, but added 2 very solid, and very physical Stanley Cup winning defenders to the group. This, with our better defensive forwards, will hopefully make life a little easier for Carey Price.

GOALTENDERS
Jose Theodore ($1.500m)
Michal Neuvirth ($2.500m)

Got a sick top line, Ribeiro being one of the greatest playmakers currently in the NHL playing next to two excellent snipers. Ovechkin also adds an amount of physical play on the line and is at least decently defensively responsible. Good scoring depth on my other lines, Fleishcmann, Mueller and Boyes are a pretty decent second line with potential to get 60+ points. Steen and Kopecky continue the scoring trend are expected to be 30-40 point getters on the 3rd line. It doesn't hurt to be able to move Steen, Boyes, Mueller or Fleischmann up if someone above them isn't producing either. Our defensive core is pretty good as well, not a lot of quality young talent, but should get a couple more years out of our veterans. Seidenberg and Volchenkov is an excellent top pairing shutdown pair, and can excel on both the PP and PK respectively. Greene is a good PMD and not prone to making lots of mistakes, which is always good to have in any defenseman. Polak is another decent defender not prone to making mistakes, can hit and defend against the big guys pretty well. If anything our 3rd pairing is our weakest point since Gilroy is an offensive dman who isn't producing and Robak is a rookie, granted a good one. Neuvirth and Theodore are our goalies and while Neuvirth will start, he could have some competition from Theodore. Overall considering I took this team from last place into what I hope are the Stanley Cup Finals (or at least the playoffs) I think I did pretty damn good. Only thing I regret is the deal for Ovechkin.

Remember when voting, place inactive teams at the 9-10-11 spots etc. The rebuilders deserve the better draft picks, and teams that tried to ice a competitive roster should make the playoffs.
