ATTENTION

Dong's computer has a serious virus right now and he is unable to post. But he tweeted me saying the following:

"I only have 5 votes right now. If you do not vote in the next 45 minutes, "random" prospects and picks will be taken away from your team if you are rebuilding, and if you are competing and make the playoffs, your playoff spot will be taken away."

VOTE

If anyone believes this. Your team is finishing last and you won't get the 1st overall pick :)

Our first round pick (top 10) is on the block for a young defenceman with some NHL experience

I am not at all complaining with my spot nor am I complaining in general I don't want to make that big of a deal out if this either so if it starts to get out of hand I will stop it imidiataly,

That being said I don't understand some of the voting thoughts that we all have, even Myslef occasionally. What I don't understand is how a team that just trades everyone for picks and prospects and has a team full of all rookies or guys with no experience is a rebuild ? Yes it's nice and all and easy to just say (ex. Here's Bobby Ryan in exchange for Kundratek,Wilson,Forsberg, and a 1st ) that may help anahiem way way down the road, but how does that help them win the rebuilders cup with a roster of guys who haven't played a NHL game or have only played less than 10. In my mind a rebuild/retool ( whichever term you may use) is adding young peices who have NHL experience, and will play for you for a long time to come as well as adding the prospects and the picks as additional future backup. I know this has or something similar has been elouded to before, and nobody honestly has to care but just wondering what your opinions on this matter was to keep this game as real as possible

*Anahiem and Washington were just examples I made up no truth to the obviously

i think this game me and you played close to the same, keeping our young stars and trading some vets but not the slash and burn style

the votes for the rebuilder's cup and the votes for the standings are 2 different things. If a team has a crap roster, then it should finish last (and yes, get the higher pick), but should not necessarily win the rebuilder cup. Those are two different things, and I totally agree with you Gabby.

that being said, I (Montreal) finished highest in pts amongst the rebuilders, so i did best. Almost made the playoffs! :naughty:

I think the rebuilders cup and the Standings are completely different things. The standings are the teams based only on CURRENT skill level while the rebuilders cup is where you dive more into future line-up.

EDIT : beat to it.

I will admit i voted Sabres first instead of the Bruins....so if you add 13 to the Bruins totals, and subtract 13 from the Sabres total, you will get a more accurate result...i am sorry to the Sabres, Bruins and Philly...And sorry to everyone else

Why vote :wild? We feel like our offense has the ability to post 4-5 goals per game, and we have the star power on defense and in net to hold the fort down. We think that the Blues have a great team, but we win the offensive and goaltending battles in this series. Either way, we are happy to be here and we hope we will be able to stay here for a long period of time!

Brayden McNabb
Derek Forbort
Jake McCabe

Confirm. we move the 8th overall pick for a collection of young defenceman as we feel McNabb and Forbort will both develop into second pairing defenceman at worst and they add some size to our future defense pool

Future:
It's missing some guys like Forbort, Johns, McCabe and Edmundson on Defence and Zharkov, Gardiner and Pontus Aberg at Forward as they haven't inked deals yet

Good luck to everyone in the playoffs! Forgot to send in my standings :( and I was a little disappointed in how low the Wings were but oh well, there's always next game! Vote Wings to upset the Kings!

:sens have two great top six lines with two way players Brown and Semin on the first line we also have the best D in the league partnered with a very underrated Fedor Tyutin and on the second pairing Jack Johnson with another underrated player trevor Daley with that there is no way that we can lose to the Panthers
