Yes, I'm aware both nations have a couple of defenseman in Europe who would be competing for spots in their respective top 6's. But for this poll I was going with NHL defensemen only.

Have to go with Czech Republic here, but it is very close.

We are a long ways from the day of Lubomir Visnovsky and Jan Hejda.

Gun to my head, i'd probably go with the Slovak unit. Just a little bit better at the very top end with Chara still, even at his age. But it's pretty close to a wash probably. Could easily see the argument either way.

Interesting, it's very close, but I went with mother Chara

If played on an NHL-sized field, it would be close.
When on a large field, quite clearly the Czech is better. Chara makes this difference
