Best fight I have ever watched in the NHL was Pj Stock vs Stephen Peat.

Do you guys think the new fights of 2000+ or older fights of before 2000 were better?

Older fights were easily more entertaining to watch. By a long shot.

In the past decade or so, the top fighters are often boring to watch. They don't fight with anger, often they don't even fight with a real purpose. They just do their little choreographed dance every 5th game, grab a bunch of jersey and throw a few jabs, and then aren't heard of again until 2 weeks later.

There were of course pointless/boring fights in the past as well, but they were also a lot less "strategic" and involved a certain amount of chaos. Especially back before fight straps came into play.
