Yep. Think of the 2016 draft (year after the McDavid draft). Turned out to be a killer one which will produce at least two hall of famers (Papi and Matty). The defensive prospects that year were highly touted too. Chychrun was considered the best prospect until Matthews overtook the spot and he continued to slide (yep don't forget he was considered the #1/2 going into that season). Then there was Juolevi (5th), Sergachev (9th) Bean and McAvoy. Along with those premier forwards (AM, Tkachuk, Laine, Pool party, Keller). This draft really mirrors following a historic one (2015 and 2023) with a good amount of quality both in top end forwards and defensemen.
