I thought about putting him there but he only played one season's worth of games here and never played more than #4 minutes.

Voted Morris based on impact on the franchise. Helped that he played with the Yotes for a long time and played relatively well.

I also debated Ballard but he wasn't here long enough in comparison but I did like him a lot. Definitely wish Yotes kept him around longer.

Hammer is probably one of the best on the list but most of that was with the Blackhawks. With the Yotes he's been injured a lot, imo.

We only have 5 players who have been with the franchise 10 years and Morris is one of them.

How is Michalek #3. He is

2nd in career games by a Dman in AZ history
1st in block shots with 1,396.....next closest guy is Morris with 722.
Easily the best shutdown Dman in Arizona history.

Teppo and Z are 1A and 1B....no other RD is close.

Went based off of the list... now that Z is part of it, very tough call between the two. Z was always a great Yote and solid as could be.

Very tough call between Z and Morris but I ask myself, if the Coyotes could have either one in their prime right this moment which would I choose, I immediately think Morris. His D is almost as good as Z's but he's got a bomb of a shot, very physical, lots of sand paper and plays right handed.

Love ya Z, and it's close, but have to give the nod to Morris here!

Hadnt seen your original post.. when I posted I was trying to point out Michalek was right up there too.

Personally I think the drop off comes after those 3 players rather than just Teppo and Zbynek. Michalek and Morris are both 10 year Coyotes among franchise leaders in most of those stats. Love the success story Michalek became after arriving as a minor league trade. Morris probably had a more illustrous career.
