Charlie must've been torn, she's from his hometown Weymouth, but teaches in Hingham. Back in my day, Weymouth vs. Hingham games usually ended with a brawl in the parking lot of the arena. Those two towns really don't like each other.

Using the Bruins based STEM curriculum in her classroom.

By utilizing something like hockey and the Bruins, it makes learning about science and math fun for all students. Not all students learn the same way and these programs give each student a level playing field and take away a lot of the apprehension and fear they have. I'm sure they use a lot of metrics in deciding who got the $30K but bottom line, kudos to each teacher in that video and kudos to the NHL and teams for partnering up with the individual states to implement this curriculum.
