Going into the season completely reliant upon Elvis would have led to liver problems for management and fans alike.
Yet you have no concerns we claimed a guy who had numbers just as bad last season as #2?Going into the season completely reliant upon Elvis would have led to liver problems for management and fans alike.
This kid might play as many games for us as Jonathan Quick.Yet you have no concerns we claimed a guy who had numbers just as bad last season as #2?
no one is hailing spencer martin as the solution to this team's goaltending problems. literally the only reason they claimed him is because they'd rather have him under contract than aaron dell.Yet you have no concerns we claimed a guy who had numbers just as bad last season as #2?
In all fairness, our defense was a dumpster fire last year as well that "should" be better. It was all the team building . . .
Don't be fooled by Spencer's SV% last year. I can't count how many times the Canucks would be down a goal or two in the first period, and the announcers were saying the only thing they weren't down by a couple more was because of Martin.
But the workload (and related lack of practie) and lack of team defense certainly got the better of him by the end, he is useful as a 20 game backup goalie, not a number 1, which is where your team needs to upgrade.
Spencer will have no trouble recognizing a dumpster fire defenseIn all fairness, our defense was a dumpster fire last year as well that "should" be better.
