I would guess there’s not a cumulative set of assets that the Flames could offer that would get Sakic to even pick up the phone on an offer for Makar.

Makar makes 3.5 million less than McDavid.

Yup… that would be my take as well. I think an offer of McDavid would make Sakic think about it but wouldn’t be surprised in the least if he declined.
