Every Avalanche prospect playing professionally are currently in Cleveland playing for the Lake Erie Monsters with the exception of goaltenders Kieran Millan and Kent Patterson who are in Denver playing for the Denver Cutthroats of the Central Hockey League.
The Monsters are currently fourth in the North Division of the Western Conference with a 12-11-0-2 record going into their game on December 15. They are struggling to stay above .500 as they are dealing with a plethora of injuries throughout their lineup.
