Nice deal for both parties. Became a fan of this fellow after the Avs Board showed me the clips of his Grandfather showing just raw, beautiful pride at his Draft & First NHL Game.

Hes been very underwhelming.. IMO even 2 mill per is a bit much... Avs showing faith in him so he better step it up

Was pretty good on a line with Saad and Nichushkin in the playoffs.

Don't think he currently is good enough to be the 3C of a strong team, but he's not that far away either. We will see if he takes the small step needed.

I think he is figuring it out. Took him a while to realize that he was never going to be a high end scorer. Looked to be much more focussed last year. I would imagine that the Avs will be thrilled if he ends up being a solid #3C.

For some reason I thought he was traded a year ago or so. Good deal I suppose.

Id still like see the Avs sign a real depth guy or two after losing Saad and Donskoi and others. Nothing against Helm and Jost.

Great strides last year.
I am a bigger fan of Jost than most, but I think he still has room to be a great middle 6 guy.

I don't mind it maybe 500k more than i'd like, but arbitration would've at least cost this. I think there's some more untapped upside despite what others may think.
