Who said Joe couldn't bring in an entire 2nd line in one summer? Burakovsky - Bellemare - Donskoi are going to put the college line to shame...

*sigh* Here's to hoping MacK can crack 150 :crossfing:crossfing:crossfing

This is the only Avs move that makes no sense. Basically put a roadblock in front of Kamanev and Bowers having any chance in the next 2 years.

Bellemare is the safer bet, great faceoff guy, leader and pker. Bowers needs more time at a pro level anyways, hes coming off an underwhelming NCAA year. Kamenev can slot in for injuries but he also has to prove he can stay healthy.

Guess you're right. It is what it is. Just sucks to see young guys not have a shot to come up.

Here is my quick potentials. Bellemare is what you said, but not much in the points column where the guys below could easily top that if given the chance.

Landeskog-MacKinnon-Rantanen
Jost-Kadri-Burkovsky
Compher-Wilson-Donskoi
Calvert-Bellemare-Nieto

Kamanev
Kaut
Greer
Dries
Bowers
O’Connor

Those guys will get their shots, injuries happened every year and no one would have penciled in guys like Dries and Gourque to play as many games as they did last year. Now that the Avs are contending they will just have actual NHL level talent to fill those spots rather than AHL guys.

Kam hasn't played hockey in about 2 years thanks to all the injuries and there is no harm in giving Kaut and Bowers extra minor league time.

Greer has always seemed to be a black sheep, if he can't crack the roster now, we might see him flipped.
