I've actually been reasonably pleased with the third line. They're generating shots and keeping the puck in the offensive zone, which is more than could be said at any point last year. Bourque\Hodgson\Jarnkrok was effective vs Ottawa.

While I do like this year's 3rd line more than last year's...to be fair...being "better than last year" isn't exactly a rave review.

Considering this line has only been together 3 games and the 3rd game they looked better....I'd say that is saying something. Last year even though that was the roulette line, there was no chemistry what so ever. So the fact that it looks like even a little may be building after 3 games, I would think means it is heading in the right direction. Time is key here and that is the problem. Everyone wants instant results. I am not saying we need to wait 50 games, but 5-10, absolutely.
