since when is Franson a top 4 d?
edit: to elaborate, we have enough puck moving d. Franson is repetitive and last I checked he wasn't great defensively.
He isn't really a puck moving D. He is big and hits and has a shot. Stylistically he is probably most like Boychuk, really. His shots find the back of the net a lot more the Boychuk's did. He is behind where Boychuk was in his own zone at 27, though, but I would think playing in a structured system will help his game a lot.
If Franson sighing is real, that is 7 D on NHL contracts and none of those D are named Morrow or Colin Miller. As things stand, they would both start in Providence.
I think another move happens if the Franson sighing is real.
edit.. and it looks like it aint.
