This team has proven its capability of winning without top flight goaltending. Frankly, Crawford won't be worth the cap hit he will receive. D-men are more valuable, especially one that has played in the Hawks' system for 5-6 years now.

our D could still win without him as it is with 2-3 guys close to the NHL. Not to mention that there are always some guys out there as UFAs that will take a contract playing for a contender like Rozi did.

sure we can find a new #1 goalie but think about our last 2 UFAs that were supposed to be our starters. Not to mention that it will be about Keith and Seabrook and overall depth more than our #3 D. Don't forget that we won the Cup with 2 different #1 Gs and #3 Ds

Exactly, they won with 2 different # 1's. The top 3 D were the same.

This team is structured to where they cannot afford to overpay on goaltending. Overall team D is more important than goaltending and that would suffer quite a bit if they let Hammer go.

as is the #3 D too when you have Keith and Seabrook. It's up to them to win the Cup and Keith was arguable our best Player in the POs.

We won with different players at kind of important positions because the guys that are supposed to lead us to victory did that...
